Why do I do this? ... to help others learn to trust themselves and their bodies again. To empower them to learn to listen and trust what they hear, what they feel and what their bodies (holistically - mind, body, spirit, emotion) are trying to tell them ... and then to support them on their healing journey wherever that takes them and whatever that looks like for as long or as short as our time together happens to be (within the bounds of my scope of practice).
We are all on our own journey, each having accumulated our own unique struggles over time - our lifestyles, response to stress, disposition, genes, background and exposures dictate our health, our perception of it and our quality of life in relation to it.
I have always been fascinated by us as humans and our body's ability to help itself, bring us to a complete standstill when we choose to ignore or bypass the subtle messages or red flags along the way and then to improve unexpectedly, even after it has been written off by experts as a lost cause ... with conscious and calculated changes, a little encouragement and support - take our power back and begin real healing and change.
I came to study the healing, therapeutic and supportive modalities I now practice as a means to better understand and support not only myself on my own complicated journey but also to be able to better support my family and loved ones on theirs. As time has progressed I find that others that can benefit from me, cross my path at just the right time, we work together through what we need to work on together and when the time is right again, part ways both sides richer for the experience.
